No progress on paragraph 12
In January we posted a blog about one particular blatant disregard our University has shown for one aspect of the March 2010 agreement: paragraph 12 dealing with staff ‘at risk’.
Following meetings with individual staff in the last two weeks, very little seems to have changed. FBS and University management have continued to show no willingness to adhere to the spirit of paragraph 12 or to look for any reassessment or compromise that would retain any of the valuable staff whose jobs are threatened in FBS.
Vote yes in the local ballot to help protect not just the relatively few members in FBS whose jobs remain under threat (so many having taken the voluntary package), but to remind management of the purpose of the ESRG – to prevent redundancy where possible – not to smooth its passage through Senate and Council.
