The occupations across the UK

November 25, 2010

Various student movements, all allied against the cuts, against the removal of EMA and against the rise in tuition fees, have achieved occupations of University buildings across the country yesterday. We list those that we are aware of here, and will add more as we become aware of them. As you have your own blog-sites and twitter feeds, please do contact us @leedsucu to add further information here:

    Hello,

Great to hear about the demonstration and occupation. It’s so exciting to realise we’re all part of a national movement and that with each demonstration the strength of the message escalates! I’m loving the ‘Solidaritree’ on your page, I was wondering if you could put Oxford University down in your list as well as as a link on the image. To the same website http://www.occupiedoxford.org
Unfortunately, due to the importance of the building I assume, the occupation was brought to an abrupt end after police forced entry and removed the occupiers, otherwise we’d still be going strong! A message of solidarity to all angry students. This IS only the beginning!

Thanks for getting in touch Sam.

You’re added – a notable omission, given that we’d borrowed your tree image.
