10 to 12 coaches will go from Leeds to the 10 November demonstration

University of Leeds will MarchLatest bookings indicate that at around 400 Leeds students will be attending the joint UCU/NUS demonstration in London on Wednesday. Up to twelve coaches are expected to collect staff and students early on Wednesday morning, in an unprecedented display of anger at the government’s plans to drastically reduce funding to HE, and effectively privatise Arts and Humanities subjects. In solidarity with future students, the demonstration will also protest the lifting of the cap on fees to £9000, and the incredible level of debt this will create for those doing a degree in future, let alone those who wish to do three degrees in order to work in HE.
